Paul Setzer Age: 48 Height: 6 4 Raised: Philadelphia, PA College: Penn State University Occupation: 20 years at the same company, which through mergers and acquisitions has been known as GTE, Sprint, Global One and Equant. Paul has lived in Indiana, Colorado, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Virginia. Work has also taken Paul to Belgium, England, France, Germany, Israel and Russia. Personal: While Paul spends a good bit of time at his paid job, he focuses much of his energy on various football and basketball pools amongst ACup members. Paul previously was Traveling Secretary of the ACup Ethics Committee, but is presently serving a suspension related to several alleged violations. Paul-ology: 1962 Gets first pair of glasses. Sees the world for the first time. 1969 Philadelphia City Champion in breaststroke and individual medley swimming. 1976 Valedictorian of high school class. 1979 Attends Sugar Bowl, witnessing #2 Alabama defeat #1 Penn State 14-7. 1981 Hired by GTE. Moves to Indianapolis. 1984 Moves to Virginia, which will be his home for the next 17+ years. 1985 Adopts Samantha, the greatest dog ever. 1986 Marries Donna, the greatest wife ever. 1988 Gets contact lenses. Sees the world clearly for the first time. 1995 Wins inaugural Athletic Cup. 1995 Adopts Angel, another fine Labrador retriever. 1997 Spends 8 months on work assignment in Israel. Sees sights, avoids bombs. 1999 Wins second Athletic Cup. 1999 Gets laser eye surgery. Sees the world unaided for the first time. Most memorable ACup moment(s): 1. Witnessing Kevins near hole-in-one off of the center field fence at Meadows Farm course. 2. Fielding Kevins vicious line drive with my kneecap. 3. Getting abused by the management of the ACup golfing venue for transporting Pepsi at a Coke sponsored event. |
